I am a PhD student at Manchester Institute for Research and Innovation in Art and Design (MIRIAD). My hugely broad and so far unedited topic (it will without doubt change and narrow once I begin to interact with staff and fellow-students) – Objects of Delight: Mass-produced miniatures from the nineteenth century to the present. This blog will parallel that activity, reflecting both my research and life as a mature (but you are only as old as you feel) student. All the views and opinions expressed in this blog are entirely my own, and I am responsible for any errors of fact.
I have an MA (2010) in Historical Archaeology from the University of Leicester. My first degree is a BSc (Hons) ARCS in Zoology from Imperial College London, but most of my working life has been spend either in field archaeology or in writing and editing.
My historical archaeology web site is Fires Of Prometheus.
